No-spend weekend for the adults!

Here is the promised no-spend weekend list for the adults!

A lot of these suggestions can easily be done at home while the kids are doing their own no-spend weekend fun – like building forts or playing under the sprinklers. There are also some that require you to leave the sanctity of home. And most of these the kids can come along for the fun too. I hope you enjoy these suggestions. I see there are a few here I could benefit from exploring at the moment as well.

  • Update your monthly budget
  • Plant some fruit and veges
  • Blog!

  • Plan your next weeks meals

  • Walk the dog
  • Clean your car
  • Start a DIY project
  • Read a book or newspaper
  • Go hiking
  • Find a new hobby
  • Bake

There are plenty of ideas there to keep someone busy enough for a while! Some of them could become life long hobbies. For me, I love to garden, read, and write. I can use the library to get books, and I spend very little on any of these hobbies. I may have missed some no-spend suggestions that could be very helpful to myself or others, and I encourage people to leave their ideas in the comments section.
